Fauna is a dinner series created by chefs Alison Cates and Dan Cha.The two met five years ago while working for the Custom House Group, but recently reconnected.
Alison, a Southwest native, moved to Chicago in order to pursue a career in pastry. Since then she has spent time in many of Chicago’s best restaurants before earning the Jean Banchet Rising Pastry award 2017. Currently she is the pastry chef at the upcoming restaurant, Marisol.
Dan, a Chicago native and CIA graduate, has spent time working in restaurants around the country. He most recently returned to Chicago from San Fransisco and is cooking at Entente.
