The extent of my engagement with the Olympics has usually been to assume the principle of rooting for everyone that’s Black and then swiftly going about my day. Even now, I do not know anyone’s stats or everyone’s name. I decided, however, to know the name Sha’Carri Richardson when I first saw her.
