What is your idea of perfect happiness?
The day is October 31st. There’s a thunderstorm outside and I’m eating Thai food in my jammies. I have $1.5 million in unmarked bills in a duffel bag and I’m planning my next vacation. My pet bunny is on my lap. Life is good.

What is your motto?
Any way the wind blows.

What is your current state of mind?
Sometimes anxious. Usually inspired. Always hungry.

How would you like to die?
With a candlestick. In the Billiard Room. By Miss Scarlet.

What is it that you love most about what you do?
Hearing people laugh at something I wrote. Taking the dive into comedy is a truly frightening experience, so when it pays off, it’s a really gratifying feeling. Also, I love the attention.

If you could have a conversation with anybody (alive or dead), who would it be?

When did you realize that you wanted to be a creative?
I was lucky enough to have a choir It was predetermined before I left the womb. My mom is the most creative person I’ve ever known, so I think it was genetically unavoidable.

What motivates you?
The idea of looking back on my life while I’m laying on my deathbed and thinking “damn, I killed that shit.”

What do you love about being a woman?
I really enjoy our secret, underground, women-only feminist meetings where we talk about eliminating all the men and their penises. They have the best guac.

What is your experience of being a woman, while also being a creative?
It has its ups and downs. Sometimes you’re working alongside incredible women and men who aren’t raging misogynists. Sometimes you find yourself dodging unwanted advances by some d-bag while you’re just trying to do your job. In the case of the latter, I’ve learned it helps to openly discuss your irritable bowel syndrome until they stop.
